Warrana dielasma Laseron, 1953 Description: Shell minute. Prodissoconch small, domed, smooth, with thickened rim. Shape triangular dorsally, semicircular ventrally, higher than wide, umbo on midline. Anterior and posterodorsal margins straight to convex. Escutcheon wide, lunule narrower. Exterior with widely and irregularly spaced narrow commarginal riblets, plus growth lines. Interior smooth, margin smooth or with 11-12 denticles. Hinge strong. Ligament internal. Shell translucent to opaque pale brown. Size: Up to 1.4 mm in length. Distribution: From off Forster, NSW, southwards to Mallacoota, Vic. Habitat: Known from beach washup and down to 182 m depth. The AMS collection holds on 12 lots of this species, suggesting it is uncommon. Comparison: In NSW this is characterised by the narrow, widely spaced commarginal ribs and pale brown colour.
