Condylocuna tricosa Middelfart, 2002 Description: Shell minute. Prodissoconch relatively large, low, dome-shaped, with radiating indentations then smooth, with sharp rim. Shape extended anteriorly, umbo behind midline, anterior and posterior dorsal margins straight or concave, ventral margin smoothly rounded. Lunule and escutcheon long and broad. Exterior with up to 24 commarginal ribs below prodissoconch, these being irregular and crowded ventrally. Interior smooth, margin smooth. Hinge strong. Ligament internal. Shell translucent or opaque white. Size: Up to 0.9 mm in length. Distribution: Sparse records from Heron Island, Qld southwards and around southern Australia, to Cape Donnington, SA. Habitat: Known from beach washup and down to 103 m depth. There are only 7 lots in the AMS collection, implying it is a rare species. Comparison: This species has a relatively large, smooth prodissoconch, and the shell’s inner margin is not denticulate. Fig. 1: Interior and dorsal view HOLOTYPE C.388198. Exterior view C.380338.
