Austrocylichna leucampyx Burn, 1978

Description: Shell elongate-ovate, lightweight, involute, width 40-50% of total shell length. Apex not umbilicate. Last whorl with sides convex; shell smooth, sometimes with widely-spaced spiral threads at base. Aperture moderately wide posteriorly, widening out anteriorly; outer lip sharp. Columella smooth, straight, with narrow umbilicus behind, often concealed by callus. Parietal wall with patchy, thin callus. Shell translucent white, becoming opaque with age.

Size: Up to 6 mm in length.

Distribution: Known from Moreton Bay, Qld, southwards to Twofold Bay, NSW.

Habitat: Empty shells are from beach washup and dredgings at 5.5-13 m. Uncommon.
