Shape suborbicular, umbo situated on midline; anterior dorsal margin concave, posterior dorsal margin convex, ventral margin smoothly rounded; lunule and escutcheon poorly defined. Exterior with 9-15 very strong, broad, rounded commarginal ridges. Interior with muscle scars well-defined, pallial line continuous, margin smooth. Hinge strong, crassatellid in form. Ligament internal, below umbo. Shell colour pink or white, internally and externally. Periostracum not seen. Size: Up to 8 mm in length. Distribution: Known from Port Stephens, NSW, southwards to eastern Tas. Habitat: All NSW specimens are from beach washup, suggesting the species lives in shallow water.
