Eatonina hedleyi Ponder & Yoo, 1980

Description: Shell minute, short spired, spire outline weakly convex. Protoconch of 1½ whorls, teleoconch of up to 2 strongly rounded whorls. Surface glossy, smooth apart from axial growth lines. Aperture circular, outer lip a little flared anteriorly and only slightly prosocline, inner lip connected to parietal wall for a third of its length, remainder reflected a little over wide umbilicus. Colour light or dark brown.

Size: Up to 0.8 mm in length.

Distribution: Known from only one lot of 11 specimens from off Sow and Pigs Reef, Sydney Harbour, NSW.

Habitat: Obtained living in shelly sand subtidally. Rare.
